By choosing Heritage Tree Care, you are working with a leading provider of a wide range of environmentally focussed services rooted in Arboriculture. The word ‘care’ in our name is not just a meaningless filler term – we really do care. We are passionate about being a sustainable company and creating and delivering effective environmental solutions that work.
Heritage Tree Care is a 100% organic company focused on sustainability and preservation. Our vision is to continue to be an industry leader by delivering sustainable solutions for Arboricultural management, and to respect our clients, their property and the environment in which we are working.
We take our corporate social responsibility (CSR) seriously, adopting sound management practices that guide our interactions with our environment and communities. As well, we effectively manage environmental and social risks both now and in the future to help drive sustainability.
Our environmental commitment
Heritage Tree Care is committed to caring for the environment and are dedicated to providing the following:
- Set environmental strategies for areas that could have any kind of environmental impact within the operation of the business
- Minimise the emission of polluted runoff, dust and noise from the site offices, facilities and equipment by use of maintenance and protective measures
- Set specific documented procedures for the company’s objectives and targets for environmental impact
- Support ecologically sustainable development on all projects
We’re not just about caring for trees, we’re all about nurturing a sustainable future.
Here’s exactly how we do that.
Our services benefit the environment
We use eco-friendly practices in our tree care services that contribute to the sustainability of our green spaces and a healthier environment. For example:
- We help improve the health of trees, ensure their safety and create aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
- We prune with purpose, working with natural growth patterns and reducing the need for excessive maintenance.
- We actively work to protect trees on development sites, with our aim being to facilitate successful tree retention outcomes on all development sites that we work on.
- We regularly investigate all types of tree health issues, including pests, diseases and environmental factors that may be affecting tree condition, and work to implement strategies and treatments to resolve identified issues.
- We improve the quality of the growing environment, by providing soil amelioration advice and strategies. Our soil health services are focused on assessing and improving soil in order to promote healthy vegetation growth.
- We use environmentally sound technologies such as vacuum excavation to transplant trees – a non-destructive excavation method that is effective, versatile and environmentally friendly.
- We use less destructive ways to treat tree problems, like the VOGT Geo-injection unit – a state-of-the-art technology for soil aeration and injection that is more effective than traditional methods and provides minimal disturbance to the tree’s growing environment.
- We dispose of tree waste responsibly, chipping, composting or mulching waste products to avoid sending them to landfill. We make a concerted effort to ensure all waste products are recycled or safely disposed of to ensure our footprint is as small as possible. Wood chips are a very useful product for tree health and garden maintenance, so when we carry out tree chipping services, we process the chippings from a job so that they can be used in an environmentally friendly way that can bring extra benefits to trees and plants.
- We offer porous paving technology and installation, which is designed to reduce runoff and promote water infiltration into the ground. This environmentally conscious solution allows water and nutrients to more easily penetrate the surface and helps cool the surrounding area.
Our projects
We are currently undertaking multiple research projects in conjunction with local government bodies in relation to finding solutions to significant pest and disease issues throughout the natural environment. We’re also actively involved on research teams with Griffith University and the University of Southern Queensland at the moment. Providing leading research in relation to important pests and diseases impacting south-east Queensland vegetation is essential. The results of this research drive future management strategies and techniques to minimise impacts and to help preserve important vegetation populations for the benefit of the broader community.
Additionally, we regularly assist with reforestation efforts and are actively working to make our earth better for future generations.
